Hey all,
I was wondering if any of you creative gals have ideas for centerpeices.  Our reception is on the lake and the hall has some nautical items already up such as anchors and lanterns.  Kind of wanted to continue the theme with centerpieces.  Not really into flowers for the table...any ideas would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi Leigha,

Congratulations!

I'm having a destination wedding and my colors are blue and white. I'm using those little water beads and created a few small centerpieces for the table but I have lots of packs left over in almost all colors before I decided on blue and white and a destination wedding.  I found them on this site http://discountwaterbeads.com but I'd like to get rid of what I have. I have the blue, white and clear water beads if you're interested. They sell them for $2.50 per pack but you can have all that I have for $1.50 per pack if you want.

Hope you want them because I don't know what else to do with them.

Ashley

Lighthouses?  I like lanterns.  If you could find antique lanterns, that could look nice with something a little different on each table.  If you want a more modern look, I like these (link). You could get small wooden dinghies (obviously not real ones, decorative ones), and put candles around them.  I think flowers in them would look nice, but you said you didn't want flowers.  www.beachweddingdresses.biz/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/nautical-wedding-themes-3.jpg" target="_blank">Model sailboats?

Thanks girls for all the ideas.  I actually stumbled upon some kids sand pails when I was on EBAY browsing.  Thinking about using those for the table with some toys, little beach balls and maybe some shells.  I think I might use the lighthouses for the head table.  Beautiful pics you girls posted.  Once I get a mock made up...sometime...I'll try and post it for feedback.  Thanks again for the help.  It gets the creative juices flowing!!!

I had plastic pails to line my aisle and then I re-used them for CP on our high top tables.

When I was looking at venues, I came across this one venue that had pictures on their website of a party, and the centerpieces were nautical themed (boats). I think it would look really pretty with some candles, and minus the balloons. This is the website... http://www.ilvillaggio.com/photogallery.html
Just go to the gallery and click on banquets.

Our wedding will be a on an old 1960s ferry and we're doing little wooden sailboats as our centrepieces. The boats will have sails in our wedding colors and will be sitting atop a glass bowl of blue candy (to look like waves). Then the kids at the wedding can take the boats home with them!

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread, lots of great ideas for a nautical themed wedding.
